What is the purpose of this life
The Vedic Mind Newsletter — 2
“Finding purpose and meaning in life involves achieving true happiness by understanding our divine nature. This journey requires fulfilling our duties, enjoying life righteously, and exploring spiritual paths while staying detached from temporary attachments.”
The purpose of life is to find true happiness, which is permanent and not dependent on external objects. According to scriptures and sages, this can only be achieved by realizing our true self, which is a spark of divinity.
The Human Aspect: We are spiritual beings in human form, we all come with a blueprint that defines our family, experiences, and karmic actions. These experiences, whether pleasant or painful, help us grow if we remain conscious. While searching for our true nature, it’s important to live fully in this world: fulfilling duties, helping others, and enjoying life righteously without attachment.
The Spiritual Aspect: Our true purpose is to remove ignorance and realize our soul’s nature. This journey spans many lifetimes, each birth bringing us closer to the ultimate goal. Painful experiences often trigger the start of our spiritual journey, prompting us to question life and seek deeper answers. This search may lead us to a spiritual path or a Guru, where real progress begins.
